The Chapel was built in 1834 and is a fine example of Greek Revival architecture. It has a picturesque location right on the Hudson River, just across from West Point. It was the first Catholic building beyond Manhattan Island in the New York Archdiocese. The building fell into ruin but has been faithfully restored by the Chapel of Our Lady Restoration, Inc.

The building is now used for weddings and concerts. We have designed tthe organ in a style that mirrors the building both architecturally and musically. Its tonal design is inspired by the English and American Organs of the early 19th century. All pipes are enclosed behind swell shutters to provide the utmost in dynamic flexibility. Most of the stops are artfully divided into bass and descant registers so that two-manual effects can be accomplished from the single keyboard. The pedalboard is permanently coupled to the manual.
